It all started with a conversation at a social event, where we found ourselves daydreaming about the fragrances of Brazil – the citrusy freshness of Pitanga, the sweetness of the Jabutica, or the floral touches of the Alfazema. Scents that tell stories. Scents that bring joy, comfort, and nostalgia.
We wondered: What if we could bring these beloved scents to Canada and blend them with the crisp, calming aromas of the North? What started as a dream quickly became a mission. With months of research, planning, and endless paperwork, we made it happen; we brought the highest-quality Brazilian raw materials to Canada, ensuring that every Nosso Aroma product is a perfect fusion of both worlds.

Meet the Founders
Esther Sampaio
I’ve always been fascinated by how people experience the world - what sparks their emotions, what makes a moment unforgettable. That curiosity led me to earn a PhD in Applied Health Sciences and build a career in user research, working across gaming, finance, and technology. I spent years analyzing human behaviour, but amidst all the data and research reports, something was missing: more nuances of creativity.
Then came that conversation at the social event, the one that changed everything. The night, Nosso Aroma was born in our minds. We realized something simple yet profound: fragrance is memory, it is emotion, it is home.
With my background in research, sourcing, and regulatory processes, I worked to make the impossible possible - bringing the finest Brazilian raw materials to Canada and blending them with the scents of nature here. As I continue my studies in Cosmetic and Skincare Science, I combine research, innovation, and storytelling into every product we create.
Larissa Frias
I’ve always believed that fragrance is more than just a scent; it’s an experience. As a Chemical Engineer, I’ve spent years working behind the scenes in the fragrance and beauty industry, collaborating with brands like The Body Shop, AVON, Natura, ACHÉ Labs, and P&G to develop products that people love. But deep down, I had a dream of creating something of my own.
In Brazil, I turned my passion for beauty into a small creative business, crafting handmade cosmetics and experimenting with fragrance blending. When my husband and I moved to Canada in 2021, I knew it was my opportunity to build something bigger.
Becoming a mother was the final push I needed to bring this dream to life. With Nosso Aroma, I combine science, artistry, and deep sensory storytelling, creating high-quality, handcrafted products that aren’t just fragrances, but emotions bottled in scent.
